NinjaTrader 7.0 Coming Soon

NinjaTrader has been on a stable release of it’s trading platform for more than a year, and they have had a private beta version of NinjaTrader 7.0, of which I’ve been a participant in for 4 to 5 months now.

According to the latest message about the NinjaTrader 7.0 beta platform, they are getting ready to release NinjaTrader 7.0 as a beta to the public very soon.  NinjaTrader is still a little hush hush about a release date, but I’d expect it any time now.

NinjaTraders president Raymond Deux put together a nice video presentation that highlights some of the major improvements and changes that are in this newer release.

Checkout the NinjaTrader 7.0 beta overview video, and see some of the many improvements that the NinjaTrader team has made to their platform.  Really, you will want to thank them.

So what does the upcoming NinjaTrader 7.0 beta release mean to my visitors and clients?

Well, after testing it, I can say that the changes are so wonderful, that once the beta release of NinjaTrader 7.0 is made available to the public, I will no longer be using NinjaTrader 6.5 to write new indicators and strategies, and will only write NinjaTrader indicators and strategies for the NinjaTrader 6.5 platform by special request.

Over the course of the next month or so, I’ll be recompiling all the NinjaTrader indicators and strategies on this site, and make them NinjaTrader 7.0 compatible.  This also means that I won’t be supporting my free indicators on the older platform.

Sorry, the newer NinjaTrader 7.0 beta is so awesome, that when it comes out, you should use it too.

So what are some of the great improvements in NinjaTrader 7.0 beta?

I took the liberty of copying some of the key points from the NinjaTrader 7.o user manual.

1. Performance - Many CPU and Memory resource improvements to help things run faster, and use less memory.
2. Fundamental Data – Now fundamental data is supported.
3. Automatic Connect - NinjaTrader can automatically connect to your market provider on start up.
4. Strategy Enhancements – multi-core support, Monte Carlo Analysis, and a new genetic optimization algorithm.
5. Strategy Wizard Enhancements – lots of new actions added to the wizard
6. Data Mangement – Improved import with added MetaStock import handling
7. NinjaScript - memory saving internals, fundamental data access,  and new “weighted” data type.
8. Multi-Series Indicators – multiple symbols with different time frames can now be plotted at the same time.
9. New Indicators – Many new indicators have been added to the list of installed NinjaTrader indicators.

And that’s just a few of the wonderful new features and enhancements that have been added to NinjaTrader 7.0 beta.

Remember to watch the great NinjaTrader overview video that NinjaTrader president Raymond Deux put together for us about many of the new features and how they work.  It’s almost a tutorial in charting in  NinjaTrader!
